some old, some new

i thought some of these pictures were too cute to not share. some are from around christmas time, and others i took just yesterday. there's not much new to report around here...we are just waiting for miss june to make her appearance, which could be any day now, or any minute (i wish).

as of friday, i am dilated to almost a 4, 70% effaced, and her head is really low. sorry if that's too much info, but i figured it was good to note since i am not 38 weeks until tomorrow. i progressed this quickly with grey too, and ended up being induced. i hope she's not so stubborn!

also, people (including myself), seem to think this lady will be big. nate's guess is 8lb. 14 oz, while i think she will be around 8lb. 6oz. or so. but if i hang on another week or two, i might be tempted to say almost 9 pounds.

...and this week

-i am in a battle of wills with my 3 year old. napped monday, then today for only 45 minutes. she must sense a change on the horizon...she's definitely testing. for some reason, nothing makes me more angry than a child who won't nap, but is visibly tired. the nights are torture, and the next morning is no fun either. praying its a phase for this week. poor lady is so sleepy.

-my to do lists haunt me. only 2 weeks until its green light for this baby...

-i CAN NOT wait until sunday. superbowl (eh, not too bad), big love, and glee all in one night. seriously.

-its officially difficult to get up from any sitting position. not complaining, just noting. this happened with grey...just means i can tell this is really getting close.

-can't wait for my mom to come. she will be here to celebrate grey's birthday. she's never been here for any of my kids' birthdays. so. amazing.

-grey got a hair cut. he's beyond cute.

-i also love to french braid lyla's cute red hair.

-soccer season starts in less than one month. thrilled about the team! wish i could go to more games this year, but hopefully june bug and i can sneak out to a few when she gets here.

-lastly, that groundhog better be right. i am dying for some sunshine...accompanied by sunscreen and large sunglasses. we are so white here.

....there is running upstairs, some screaming, and someone may be in the toilet. off i go.

why my still one year old amazes me

grey turns 2 in two weeks, and this is why he amazes me:

-when getting out of the car this morning, grey says "excuse me mommy. close the garage."

-while reading one of lyla's princess books, grey says "look mom. its aurora. she have a bath."

-with perfect clarity, he recites this line from toy story 2 while holding his woody doll, "oh, i forgot, you're broken, i don't want to play with you anymore."

-and this line: "say that again....if the BOOT....FITS!" then "OK cowboy!!!"

-he also asks a myriad of other specific and clear questions, like, where's my woody doll? is lyla sleeping? can i have a juice box? seriously kid...

there is no fooling this boy either...he sees everything. even when i sneak a skittle into my mouth in the car, and i do that a lot. i just had to write this down. he's hilarious.

-did i mention he knows most of the words to 3 katy perry songs...most of the glee christmas album, and the maroon 5 cd? kid loves to jam. i think i'm in for it this year....
