And the doctor says...

I went to the OB this morning...WITH my 17 month old (a very crazy experience).

I am dilated to a 3 PLUS, and am pretty thin (sorry to be gross). I was shocked, because I didn't expect any action this early. So...my doctor happily scheduled my induction for February 16th at 8am, but I will likely not make it that far (so he says). Actually, he said it could be any time.

I am freaking out.

Didn't gain any weight either. I think a burger is in order.

Polaroid heaven.

While blog stalking this morning, I came across a photography site that gave me a link to poladroid.com. It is the coolest! I loved polaroids as a kid, and if you download their little polaroid converter, you can turn any of your photos into vintage bliss. I had a little fun while waiting for Lyla to wake up.

Only 3 1/2 weeks left, and still trying to organize/clean/disinfect the house. Unfortunately, Lyla is pretty sick this week...and with the inversion, we are basically stuck inside. Hopefully I can get this girl healthy! Perhaps I will post some polaroids of my full term belly next week. Perhaps.

It has begun...

34 weeks and the nesting is in full swing. I don't remember being this crazy with Lyla, but my list keeps getting longer and longer (this is probably the way I am dealing with my anxiety about having two kids under 1 1/2). Today I am cleaning out the laundry room and vacuuming behind everything. I feel like a crazy person...hopefully I can satisfy myself in 5 weeks.

Belly time.

Here are my 33.5 week pics. I had to take them because Nate was gone all day, and I am usually pretty nasty by the end of the day. I can't believe that in less than 6 weeks my little man will be here with us! I think I want to take another picture at 37 weeks or so, and then the day before I am induced (if I make it that far!).
...pardon my laundry mess. I am in the process of organizing the master closet. What a disaster.

33 weeks and some resolutions

Went to the OB this morning...and I am measuring pretty close to 33 weeks (just about 34, actually). And I LOST 3 pounds. I thought that was weird, but I have been really good about soda, fast food and sweets. Apparently the nasty food has been making me keep on extra weight. Only 4 appointments left until the big day! Hopefully the last week or so I can indulge a little bit, because I know I will have to be really healthy while breastfeeding. :) I will post a pic soon...I never took pictures of myself late in my pregnancy with Lyla, and I definitely want to remember this time!

I also set up the bassinet...it seems a bit early, but I didn't want all the pieces laying around the house after I took them out of storage. I'll post pictures of that as well...its really cute, and now I can start stocking it with blankets and diapers. My goal is to have most things totally ready by the end of the month, so I can enjoy some time with just Lyla and I.

And in other news, one of my New Year's resolutions is to read more, so I have started reading The Nine, by Jeffrey Toobin. Its about the Supreme Court, and it won the New York Times Book of the Year Award. I love it so far. It appeals to my nerdy side, and makes me wish I were back in college. Maybe one day. Atleast I can read like I'm in college :)
